Elvis Presley Billing Poster Sept. 10, 1956 Ed Sullivan Show NYC
This is what appears to be the billing poster used to advertise the debut of Elvis Presleys first television performance. I would like to authenticate it as an original if there is anyone who may have the information to do so as this is onr of only two that I know of.

I've Only Seen One Other Elvis Presley Billing Poster Like This, Have You Seen One?
I've had this Elvis Presley billing poster for 15 years and have been trying to authenticate for some time now without anything but disappointment. Although everyone one who may be an expert I've tried to get an opinion does not always return a reply to my inquiery, the one's who have always tell me it is a bootleg. I have also never seen another one like it except for the one on display at Sun Records Studio in Memphis,Tenn. in their antechamber which is the same but in better condition. If it were a bootleg then you would think there would be at least a few more, but I have only found one other besides this one I have. The date has always come under scutiny as it is not the date of the performance. It is the same date as the one that Sun Studios has. I would assume that there is a special reason for the misprint. I don't believe that Sun would display a billing poster, even if the one's they display are reproductions(as I was told by a so-called expert)would have this read any differant if it weren't what was exactly as the originals were printed as. Ed Sullivan was not the host for that performance and Elvis' debut was introduced by a substitute host the evening of the performance which actually happened on Sept. 9, 1956. He had suffered injuries from a car accident and was being hospitalized at the time of the show and certain changes occurred due to this which may explain the misprint. If anyone has another one like this or has information about the bootlegging of the Ed Sullivan Show billing poster for Elvis Presley's debut on T.V., please E-mail me an image, if possible and your input on this rare piece of Elvis memorabillia. My E-mail address is loudanmun@gmail.com or dcevedbyu@hushmail.me Thank you for checking out this page and hope to hear from you.
